DrawerOne of the One Spark creators that we were really looking forward to checking out is an app called Drawer. Drawer is a new take on recommendations. It solves many of the problems of Yelp and Tripadvisor. Further, Drawer allows for a more personal style of recommendations, allowing users to follow other users and curate their own favorites. The app is perfect for travel agents and hotel concierges, as it is a quick easy way to share the best restaurants and venues.

Drawer CEO Justin Davis was recently interviewed by The Examiner, and what he sad of the app really sums it up:

As opposed to review sites like Yelp, Urbanspoon and Tripadvisor, Drawer is all about personal curation and connection. We allow people to put together curated ists of places they want to try, as well as places they want to share with others. It’s much more an evangelism platform in that way. Also, everything on Drawer is positive. Because the places that people add to their drawers are the places they’re interested in or recommend, it naturally gets rid of the “bullhorns” problem of review sites (where most things end up with one or five stars).1

We had a chance to speak with Davis on Thursday at One Spark. Davis really echoed a lot of the things that we wrote about the app a few days ago. If you want to vote for Drawer, their creator number is 21046, or you can go directly to their One Spark Creator Profile to vote.
